A speech impairment that results in physical diffculty pronouncing words. See also: aphasia.

Causes:

Intoxication
poorly fitting dentures
degenerative neurological disorder

Symptoms:

Difficulty pronouncing and/or forming words and phrases.

Treatments/Cures:

Speech therapy.

  1. A speech disorder characterized by the mispronunciation of words.

  2. A condition where movement of the joints is impaired by loss of muscle control. Generally this condition comes about when parts of the nervous system have been damaged.
