A lot of kids when they have to go back to school whine about how short their summer vacations were. I'm sure that many adults remember the days when they had 3 or 4 months a year to do whatever they wanted to do. Time, however, marches on. The trick is to find a memory, a perfect still life interpretation of how summer felt to you. After all, what is life but a collection of memories? Pick one morning and get up well before dawn. Find a lawn, it doesn't matter whose it is, and wait for the sun to rise. Just before it becomes day, the earth and all of creation seems to hold still (assuming your neighborhood is free of traffic at that hour). You'd be surprised at how long these sort of moments will carry you in the busy real world.
