Greek: ἐρώμενος, pl. ἐρώμενοι (eromenoi)

In Classical Athens, an adolescent boy (typically 12-18) involved in a pederastic relationship with an older man (the erastes). The term literally means "beloved". The eromenos invariably took a passive and subordinate role in the erotic dynamic, while his erastes served as the active, pursuant partner.
