A film (or video) that undertakes an ethnographic project. Approaches to this can be as diverse as those of National Geographic and Trinh T. Minh-ha. Some are drawn to film as an ethnographic medium because it seems to capture only "reality". There are issues of power and representation at stake, though, that echo issues raised in feminist film theory.
