Eu*os"mite (?), n. [Gr. well + a smell.] Min.

A fossil resin, so called from its strong, peculiar, pleasant odor.

Gritchka notes: Originally scanned as Euosmitte, but this makes no sense in Greek, and mineral names end in -ite. The only occurrences of euosmitte on the Web are obviously mirrors of the Webster mis-scan.
