An exasecond (Es) is 1018 seconds, or 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 seconds. To give an idea of how long it is, it is 3.2x108 years, or 32 billion years. An exasecond is so large that the amount of time passed cannot be measured before 0.43 exaseconds, because, according to scientific research, the universe has not lasted that long (the universe has been in existence about 13.73 billion years ago.) In fact, an exasecond is so long that we will never be able to count to one exasecond - the universe will only last 1011 years.
