Describes a
poisonous substance which harms an organism by damaging its genetic structure (
DNA). Such damage can commonly result in
mutations, tumors, or
cancers.
Genotoxicity is the amount of damage a genotoxin (poison which affects DNA) can cause to a DNA
molecule.
