In Ice Hockey, the goaltender does different things with his two hands. In one hand, he holds a specialized large, flat hockey stick, which he can use to pass the puck to his teammates or deflect incoming shots. On the other hand, he wears a large leather glove. A "glove save" is when he saves a goal by catching the incoming shot with his glove hand.
