In baseball, a ground rule common to all fields, due to the nature of a baseball field. It indicates that a batted ball which hits the ground within the field of play, then bounces over the outfield fence, will be automatically ruled a double. The batter proceeds to second base, and all runners on base advance two bases (therefore, a runner on first advances to third; any other runners on would score).
