This is a slogan that many stores place on cups near their register. The idea is that if you get some pennies back in your change, you leave them in the cup. If you happen to need a penny(say 1.06 and you have a dollar and a nickel) you can take a penny from the cup instead of spending 1.10 and getting 4 pennies back, which you will most likely lose, throw away, or leave in a big penny jar that you'll never actually exchange for real money.

This is a very good idea, and works out pretty well. Who wants a pocketful of pennies anyway? I tend to roll my pennies down sidewalks to get rid of them.

If so many people see change as the worthless nuisance that these penny dishes imply, then perhaps it's time to take the penny out of circulation.
