A thoroughly disgusting member of the family Melolonthidae. These are brownish-colored beetles, roughly 3/4" long.

To my way of thinking, their presence is the best argument we have for the existence of a Creator; these creatures supposedly evolved millions of years ago, and yet they are divinely suited for no other purpose than to bash their heads against the windows of human dwellings.

In Southwestern Ontario, Canada, a june bug is the common name for a small brown or white coloured flying insect that populates (practically infests) the area in June. More commonly in North America this bug is called a mayfly or fishfly.
