A keyboard binding is when you associate a keystroke with some specific action. For example, in Windows, the normal keyboard bindings for cut and paste are Ctrl-c to "copy", Ctrl-x to "cut" to Ctrl-v to "paste". Modern, sophisticated applications let you define your own keyboard bindings.
