There's a story here, you said,

it's long but it’s well written.

Seems that suicides in this country

are sky high;

it's here if you want to see it,

you tossed a magazine on the table,

and I wonder if you remember

this has touched us once before.

Do you remember it was summer,

did you know when you took the call,

do you remember the shag carpet in my room.

Have you rewritten it

until you don’t feel helpless anymore.

Do you remember what you said,

do you know what I won’t say.

Did you know I'm only here

because I was afraid

that I might miss.

It touched us once before

and left odd, smooth fingerprints;

it's a story I remember

that I wonder if you know.
