Masukomi is
Japanese for "
mass media." It is a
gairaigo term, a shortened version of
masu komyûnikêshonzu "mass
communications." The word can refer to
newspapers,
television,
magazines,
radio, and even some
books (especially those of
Iwanami Shoten).
