You have heard of a power nap and a catnap but you have never heard of a Nanna Nap? Where have you been all your life? Well the answer to that is easy, not in Australia.

Nanna Nap is an Australian colloquialism used to describe that act of recovering your stamina by having a quick sleep.

Nanna is another word for Grandmother used in many places around the English speaking world. Grandmothers and Nannas have the art of napping down pat to the point of being able to nap mid sentence. A Nanna Nap harnesses this elderly power of napping to reenergise oneself.

In short, it is a power nap but with connotation that it taken on the couch tucked under a nice crocheted lap rug. So you wake refreshed and ready to take on the world!
