A pie fight is as it says on the tin: a fight between two or more folks using pies as the weapons of choice.
Because it's hilarious to watch people getting smacked in the pus with a fluffy pie, it's been a staple of the early comedies that came out of Hollywood. It's been used to generate guffaws by comedy legends like Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello, the Marx Brothers, and The Three Stooges.
Back in the eighties, there was a game on the Commodore Amiga computer system based on The Three Stooges. The best part of the game was a pie fight between rows of characters, and a video clip of the shenanigans was used in many computer shops with the Amiga 500 to sell the amazing (for the times) graphics. Yeah, Paula and Fat Agnes were a great set of twin chips that allowed for some fantastic graphics and sounds.
These days, having a pie fight can be found in fraternity hazing events and on Pornhub exclusives.
