Just bought my first package ever of tasty deep fried snack chips made from plantains. They remind me (interestingly enough) of Tato Skins, those yummy but mysterious "baked potato" chips from Keebler. Of course, since the plantain is a cousin to the banana, the similarity to banana chips cannot be denied. But these chips are salty, not sweet like their banana counterpart. They are also thinner and fairly greasy.
