A
power cable supplies
watts to your
equipment. It's usually
black,
thick and has a plug on each end.
Computer power cables tend to have a
NEMA 15 120VAC plug on one end and an
IEC 320 connector on the other.
Tripping over the
power cable is a bad idea; it usually results in
darkness, a long
fsck, and
wasted time. It is also bad to
lick the end of a power cable, or plug it into the wrong
jack.
Power and
data ports don't mix.
