punny, adj: a pun on the words "
pun" and "
funny"; the subject is being described as humorous in as much as it exhibits a pun.
Example:
person A: We're having a
march in
June...
person B: Oh, you punny guys!
Someone
speaking, a
placename, a
headline, or indeed just about
everything can be punny, by accident or on purpose. I personally
enjoy making puns, especially
terrible,
blatant,
awful ones. As a result, some people find me punny, but not "
ha-ha" punny.
