Oh, how my heart aches for sansrival...

This Filipino pastry, aptly named "without rival", is made of sugar-coated butter slabs sandwiched between meringue. This would not be the dance, but an egg white and sugar mixture baked until golden brown. To add further flavor and character, the sansrival is coated in ground cashew nuts.

The rough ratio of all these ingredients is about 2:1:1 for the butter:egg:cashews, making this a horrible cake to buy for celebrating a septuagenarian's birthday.

Eat it while you're young, and before your acne problems start!
