Chemical compound (AgCl) that in its natural state is a white crystalline solid.

Silver Choride is primarially known as a light sensitive material and is used in photographic emulsions. When exposed to light, Silver Chloride decomposes and becomes a dark blue-gray color.

Silver Chloride is very nearly insoluble in water, but very soluble in Potassium Cyanide or Sodium Thiosulfate, which is why when working in a darkroom you use Potassium Cyanide as a bleaching agent and Sodium Thiosulfate as a fixing agent.
