A band of East London Mods, all of them around 1.6m in height - Steve Marriott, Ian McLagan, Kenny Jones, Ronnie Lane. Andrew Loog Oldham's post-Rolling Stones pride-and-joy. Lovers of soul music who grafted old-school British showmanship (and psychedelia) to their core competencies, briefly out-popping The Who with hits like "Lazy Sunday", "Tin Soldier", and "Itchycoo Park". Marriott left to join Peter Frampton in Humble Pie; Rod Stewart and Ron Wood replaced him (see: The Faces).
