An important thing to do before you create anything in it. Find a time when the space is empty and quiet, close your eyes, and take a deep breath. You will smell the energy of past productions, still lingering, still very much a part of what you are about to perform. This energy must be added to your own, not destroyed. Don't take it for granted. If you can, sit in the audience when it is empty and feel its energy as well. It will be different, more muddled, more sweaty, but important all the same.

When you open your eyes and turn on the lights, watch the specks of dust floating through the air. The dance they perform is the dance you will attempt to mimic when you move in this light. These specks are full of the theatre's energy, this is the dance you must learn.
