Do you really want to send Pseudo_Intellectual a message saying you like their work?
The occurance of a noise unrelated to an event - a sound spontaneously producing itself for no apparent reasons. Sounds which have clear sources or make clear references are sound effects. Sounds which just happen... are sound events.
