space combat simulator

A simulation of small ship to ship combat outside of the atmosphere of a planet. Simply put, a flight simulator in space. Usually, these simulators are games in which the player controls small fighter craft. Such games include: Wing Commander, X-Wing, TIE Fighter, and FreeSpace. A notable exception to piloting fighter craft is the game, I-War.
