Mankind has dreamed of voyaging to the
stars since
time immemorial; only recently have we developed the
tools to make it possible.
In the near future, when our propulsion and engineering technologies have improved to the point that we can send a kilogram of mass into orbit for only a few hundred dollars, it may become feasible for us to live in space. Until then, we can work hard toward that goal, and dream of the day it becomes possible by reading good science fiction.
