Sparty Lan Party is a Student organization at Michigan State University that focuses on hosting LAN Parties in order to not only have a great time, but to allow the group's members to meet fellow gamers at Michigan State University, as well as throughout the greater Lansing/Michigan area.
Since being founded by Ehren Benson and Steve DeKarske in January of 2007, SLP has grown from a small group of only a few members to hosting events with over 100 attendees, sponsored tournaments, and an excellent member base.
SLP Hosts four LAN Parties per Fall/Spring Semester: 2 Large, Fully Sponsored, Competitive events and 2 smaller "Basement LAN" events which given their name, are designed to mimic the small LANs that many PC gamers have in their basements with their close friends.
