Strip Mine is an
utility land card from
Magic: The Gathering. At the time of this writing, it has been printed in the following sets at various rarities, including two editions that are available online only:
The
flavor text on the cards that have it refer to the
Brothers' War on
Dominaria between
Urza and
Mishra. The artists have been
Daniel Gelon,
John Avon, and
Howard Lyon.
After a player taps Strip Mine, they have the choice to either add one colorless mana to their mana pool or sacrifice it to destroy a target land, thus mimicking the result of strip mining in the real world. Similar cards are Tectonic Edge and Wasteland.
Remember: Only those that benefit from it approve of land destruction!
