Person who, depending upon the public transit system to get from one place to another, can only do this when there are buses streetcars, subways, whatever, and they are on time.

For some this experience leads to an understandable hatred of public transit, and its abandonment for private, usually one-person car travel. This invariably leads to the exacerbation of the very conditions that cause delay of all traffic, not excluding private cars--as well as general pollution and photochemical smog.

A more thought out response would be to rail against the governments--in Canada the, so-called, senior levels of the province and the federal government]--who through policy decisions have determined there will not be enough transit rolling stock, the fares will be increasingly prohibitive, the labour relations with the drivers will be acrimonious--in essense, that the lion's share of public subsidy will go to private cars.
