A song I wrote in 1999 in my angsty late teens. For voice & guitar.

Under Earth and Over Moon

Butterfly clips and smoking guns
Pretty hair and burning lungs
Everyone's gone and no-one's here
leaving us with smile and tear

What do I care, what do you care
Life is sweet and so unfair
Come with me for a very good day
While everyone else had gone away

Make it last if it's any good
Join us living in the hood
How we live is still a boon
Dig under earth and over moon

Tall green trees and littered ground
Loving nature while you're bound
Screaming out in silent pain
While coming up from where you've lain

Clouded sunsets, acid drops
Spotless house with shredded mops
Grafitti scrawled across the walls
Climbing high means lots of falls

Make it last if it's any good
Join us living in the hood
How we live is still a boon
Dig under earth and over moon

Driving home while on a break
Running fast for all Hell's sake
Liking just what you all hate
Surrendering to our bonded fate

Make us laugh at sobering fact
Break into Hell with little tact
Drinking from a punctured goon
Dig under earth and over moon
Dig under earth and over moon
