In busking, a walk-by act is one in which the performer does the show continuously for a long period of time, with no beginning or end. They leave the hat out, and people throw money in if they like what is going on. Musiciansand mimes tend to use this strategy.

Easier to do than a circle show, but makes much less money. And it's gruelling -- you spend most of your time performing for nobody.
