It's a white powder with about half the sweetening power of sucrose. This versatile little chemical is not only used as a sweetener, but also as an oil absorber, organic solvent, and as a fine powder cleaner.

You'll find it in candy, vitamins, pills, and in some cleaners... sounds tasty.
