the Colt Double Eagle
barrel is five inches in length, the same as that of the
M1911 and the magazine holds eight
rounds of
.45 ACP; one more than that of the M1911.
there is a fixed front sight blade with a single white dot and a fixed rear sight, with white dots on either side of its notch.
The hammer spur is a rowel type, similar to that of the Commander and Officers ACP. The trigger guard is gererously proportioned, with a concave area up front to accomodate the index finger of the non-shooting hand. The metal work is stainless steel and initial chambering is restricted to the .45 ACP cartridge.
