Red Shoe Diaries is an
adult series on
Showtime. Each show is played out in a letter or diary sent to our good friend
Mulder, who plays "Red Shoes". Like a lot of programs/movies of Red Shoes nature (i.e.
soft porn) the
plot is often far-fetched and
preposterous.
Even though it often lacks in writing, the show excels in two areas its producer Zalman King always does well in: cinematography and music. The cinematography is always absolutely gorgeous. Particularly the interesting use of lighting or lack thereof. Generally for Red Shoes King uses a jazz based soundtrack which plays well off of the cinematography I mentioned above.
Don't watch Red Shoes expecting to get off. And don't watch it to be intellectually stimulated. Watch it for the pretty pictures and sounds.
