Town found along the Overlander's Highway in North
Queensland. A peaceful
town, this was once the site of a great
battle between the Kalkadoon tribe and mounted police on the slopes of
Battle Mountain. The Kalkadoon
Hotel commerates the
tribe today and is situated across from the
memorial. An abandon
copper mind looms off in the distance as the
smelter stacks still stand where the hub of
business once used to be.
