Originally launched in
1947, the
Waverley is the world's last remaining sea going
paddle steamer. She was built for the
London and North Eastern Railway and was one of many such vessels operating in the
Firth of Clyde. She has a capacity of 800 passengers.
She remained in normal service until 1970 and has since been restored and nowadays is used for excursions all around the UK.
