Responding to a surge of questions from Orthodox Jews who were worried about how Internet pornography was affecting their family lives, Rabbi Shlomo Eliahu, the chief rabbi of Safed, Israel, has written a prayer to help people resist the lure of digital sex.

Please God, help me cleanse the computer of viruses and evil photographs which disturb and ruin my work, so that I shall be able to cleanse myself.

Rabbi Eliahu has recommended devout Jews to recite the prayer whenever they log onto the Internet, saying they could even program it to flash on their screens if they enter a porn site intentionally or by mistake.

Shalom, my brothers. Go and surf in the way of the Lord.
