Kærnemælkskoldskål (Buttermilk Cold Bowl) is a traditional Danish dessert. It is served with "chamber squires" (a kind of small baked biscuit with vanilla and sugar), which I have been unable to find an English equivalent of - or even a translation for that matter.

The recipe is as follows:

Whip the eggs well, and add the sugar, then add the milk slowly, while still whipping.

You can add shredded lemon-peels (make sure they aren't sprayed with all kinds of poison, though) for extra freshness.
