French Drive, SW in Washington DC. Open 8 AM to Midnight, on all days except
for Christmas.
The Korean War memoral is actualy new, and it's privately funded. Next to the
Lincoln Memorial at the National Mall, it is an outdoor monument with a triangular
"Field of Service" which is a field with an American flag and 19 statues
of servicemen coming out of a grove of trees.
Along with the field there's a big granite wall that is 164 feet long with
etchings of the various people who served in Korea.
There's also a "Pool of Remembrance" which has a curb that lists
nations that participated in the efforts of the United Nations, and this area
is devoted to POWs, KIAs, and MIAs.
