Daughter of
João Gilberto, she was born in
New York City and raised in Rio. She is a talented
musician and
singer, much like her father. As of this writing (
2000), she has one album out ("Tanto Tempo," which was mixed by
Suba) in addition to an old
self-titled EP. She has collaborated in the past with many of todays electronic greats, such as
Ninja Tuner
Amon Tobin and
Thievery Corporation.
Bebel is great live and is quite the hottie.
