Jedi Mind Tricks is a
hip-hop group from
Philadelphia consisting of two members:
Ikon the
Verbal Hologram and Stoupe, the
Enemy of
Mankind. Their self-created label is Superregular (
http://www.superregular.com/) and thus far their
albums have only been released on
vinyl.
Ikon does the raps, Stoupe does the beats. Stoupe finds a wide variety of bizarre and eerie samples to accentuate his ominous beats, while Ikon raps on a set of topics almost never covered in hip-hop. From the original manipulations of humans by the Elohim, to the secret conspiracies of illuminated groups, Ikon's is a voice completely original in the genre.
Some of their talk of the Elohim seems to be related to the "teachings" of Malachi Z. York, and of the International Realian Religion.
