moon at its largest phase. There is a
legend behind the
festival regarding a stricken
couple heading for the
moon to avoid the

To me, the highlight of the holiday is the mooncakes, they are basically baked pastries with a LOT of lotus cream inside. Extremely tasty. Also fun are the thousands of lanterns lit at night.
Oh yeah you also get a day off school. A big plus.
