1999 (review)

The name of an enormously popular trance techno anthem by Binary Finary - one of those totally euphoric tunes that, depending on the kind of person you are,

• make you realize why you don't need drugs to get high, or:
• make you get really high on the drugs you took roughly 30-40 minutes ago, or:
• make your head explode because you were way too high already and couldn't take the excitement, or:
• have no effect on you because you are at home listening to Frank Sinatra and guiltily considering buying the new Robbie Williams album, Swing When You're Winning

1999 has been remixed and released by many DJs, including Paul Oakenfold and Paul Van Dyk, and at least 15 or 20 different versions can be found on Audiogalaxy. However, the best versions are:

1. The original - short, simple, starts slow and builds up to a big shattering mad pumping wonderful sweaty climax like mother said you should never enjoy.
2. The DuMonde remix - not quite so anthemic, but lasts 8 or 9 minutes and climaxes 3 times, like father was never able to.
