Born in Canada, Erik has always has a facination with buttons and electro-du-hickies. Sensing his fondness for battery operated machinery, Erik's astute mother quickly shipped him off to a Radio Shack sweat factory in Malaysia. There, he worked 22 hour days assembling watch sized calculators. In the mid 80s, an American film maker, who was casting for an upcoming film, brought Erik back to Mesa, Arizona to star in a made-for-tv movie entitled "Home Free". After a short career involving televison commercials, Erik begun working for a middle American newspaper.
