Captain Harlock is the brainchild of renowned japanese manga artist Leiji Matsumoto. One of the world's most recognized anime characters, Harlock appears in several anime series by Matsumoto. Harlock is a space pirate who wanders the universe battling for the good of mankind in his famous starship, the Arcadia. He travels with his good friend Oyama Tochiro, an incredible engineer, and the beautiful and mysterious Queen Emeraldas.

Captain Harlock is a shady character with a long family history of exploring the skies. He wears an eyepatch over his left eye, after being shot out in a gun battle. His trademark logo is the skull and crossbones, a symbol representing his free spirit and strong will to "fight to the bone", not a symbol of death or evil. He wields a powerful laser constructed by Tochiro that is unmatched by any in the universe.

His most popular movie is Arcadia of My Youth (sometimes referred to as My Youth in Arcadia). He has also appeared in other timeless classics such as Galaxy Express 999, and the recently released Harlock Saga. Below is Captain Harlock's filmography.
