Legion of Super-Heroes.
Val Armorr is the real name of Karate Kid. Orphaned as a young child,
Val was raised by a Master of Martial Arts, who trained him from infancy
in all kinds of martial arts. The Master ultimately taught Val a new form of
"super-karate" that allowed Val to do superhuman feats.
Karate Kid joined the Legion of Super-Heroes at the same time as Ferro Lad and
Princess Projectra.
Karate Kid married Princess Projectra and the two retired to her home planet
of Orando. When the Legion of Super-Villians led by Lightning Lord invaded
Orando, Karate Kid and Projectra fought to defend their home. Karate Kid was killed
by Nemesis Kid, who was in turn killed by Projectra.
