Small Village in Mid - Argyll, Scotland, at the end of the Crinan Canal, forever in the shadow of Lochgilphead.

Steam boat connections were made with Oban and Glasgow to Inverness via the Crinan Canal and a distillery was in production at Glendarroch between 1831 and 1937. Fish farming, forestry, hydro-electricity and servicing an oil depot have maintained the population of Ardrishaig in modern times.

Nevertheless most of the few inhabitants go to Lochgilphead for their shopping or just to get primary care.

The only good pub is The Lorne and sports an impressive collection of soccer jerseys, most famously of 1994's 1.FC Cologne sponsored by one of the GP's.
