Essentially one step below an RN (Registered Nurse), LPNs usually perform the fundamental tasks in hospital wards:

  • Changing beds
  • Vital sign checks
  • Passing medications
  • May not give out narcotics! only RNs and doctors can do that.
They also may be found changing bedpans and wiping ass in those places which need those things done.
