Besides being part of See-Saw, Yuki KAJIURA is a solo artist, a composer, and a lyricist. Recently she released her first full album, entitled Fiction. Despite her being Japanese, most of the tracks on the CD are in English, with one in Italian and one in Latin, and none in Japanese. Kaijura also had a hand in the soundtracks for the animated series Noir, Le Petite Cossette, Aquarian Age, Mai Hime and .hack//SIGN, both as part of See-Saw and by her lonesome. Some of her anime works can be found on this CD, though "Awakening," "Salva Nos," and "Canta per Me" are different versions from the the originals.

Not surprisingly, her music is remiscent of See-Saw's. It's fairly slow, not depressing, but very relaxing. Not the kind of music to which you'd dance so much as music to which you'd eat dinner and converse. Her pretty voice goes well with the various instruments she uses. Nothing wrong with relaxing music, it's worth giving a try.
