The National Assosciation of Rocketry (NAR) is an organization dedicated to the support of the hobbies of model rocketry, sport rocketry, and high-powered rocketry. It is the oldest and largest sport rocketry organization in the world.

The NAR is composed of many smaller local organizations called sections. Anyone can start their own section, provided it has at least five members, one of whom is an adult. These sections are mostly independant of NAR, only having to adhere to the NAR safety code to be eligable for the $1-million liability insurance coverage.

The NAR publishes its own bi-monthly member magazine, Sport Rocketry, that acts as a showcase for local and national events, new and interesting rocket designs, and general organizational policy information.

The NAR's official website is www.nar.org . There you can get more detailed information about the organization, its sections, members, and national meetings or sign up to be a member using a secure web form.
